Display 1024x768 pixel resolution, 16 bit high colors or greater.
DirectX 8.1 or higher and a compatible graphics card are recommended for optimal graphics performance.
Spotfire Software Connection to a Spotfire Analytics Server 10.0 for software deployment and licensing
Installation Permissions Administrator rights are not required to install Spotfire DXP
Microsoft .NET Framework Spotfire DXP requires that Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 be installed prior to installing Spotfire DXP.   Microsoft. NET Framework 2.0 does require Administrator rights to complete installation.

Microsoft Data Access Components Spotfire DXP supports versions 2.6 through v2.8 SP1 (2.81.1117.6).

Importing SAS data files It is possible to import SAS data files (*.sas7bdat, *.sd2, *.sd7) into Spotfire DXP directly. The requirement for this functionality is that the SAS Providers for OLE DB 9.1.3 must first be installed on the client machine.

NOTE: Microsoft Windows Vista is not a supported platform for SAS Providers for OLE DB 9.1.3.
Citrix Deployment of Spotfire DXP is supported on:

Client: Citrix Presentation Server Client Packager - Version 9.150 or 9.200
Server: Citrix Presentation Server version 4.0

The following requirements are valid for all web browsers:
  • JavaScript must be enabled.

    In Internet Explorer, the setting can be changed by going to Tools > Options > Security tab and then clicking on the Custom Level button.

    In Firefox, the setting can be changed by going to Tools > Options > Content tab.

  • Session cookies must be allowed.

    In Internet Explorer, the setting can be changed by going to Tools > Options > Privacy tab and then clicking on the Advanced button.

    In Firefox, the setting can be changed by going to Tools > Options > Privacy tab > Cookies.

    NOTE: In addition, the Remember Me functionality will not work properly unless all cookies (session and regular persistent) are allowed.

Authentication Method One of the following:

  • Anonymous (preconfigured) Access

  • Forms Authentication

  • IIS Handled Authentication (Basic)

NOTE: The authentication methods chosen for the IIS and ASP.NET layers need to match, i.e. be compatible with the authentication method used for the Spotfire Analytics Server.
Installation Privileges on Windows Spotfire DXP Web Player 2.0 must be installed under a Windows user account with full administrative privileges.
