TIBCO Spotfire End User Training
TIBCO Spotfire training is designed to facilitate the rapid integration of visual analytics into a user's data analysis workflow. Training will take users with no prior knowledge of Spotfire software through a general introductory session, followed by advanced courses as their data analysis needs require.
Instructor-led training is structured to provide a maximum amount of learning in a hands-on environment. Attendees should have access to a computer with TIBCO Spotfire installed in order to participate in the training.
Spotfire Essentials I
Length: 1 day
Prerequisite: none
Description: This session is designed to introduce new users to the general capabilities of TIBCO Spotfire, focusing on the most commonly used visualizations. It is also useful for current users who have not had the advantage of a structured introduction to the general functional expectations of Spotfire.
Spotfire Essentials II
Length: 1 day
Prerequisite: Spotfire Essentials I
Description: This session is designed to enhance skills for users of TIBCO Spotfire who have taken TIBCO Spotfire Essentials I, and introduces data manipulation plus some statistical tools. It is also useful for current users who have been using the basic features of Spotfire for some time and now need to take their knowledge to the next level.
Computational Analytics
Length: 1 day
Prerequisites: Spotfire Essentials I, Spotfire Essentials II
Description: This session covers tools which are useful for statistical distribution, multivariate, and relationship analysis. Box plots, column relationships, similarity calculations and clustering are discussed in detail. In addition, the process of understanding and creating advanced expressions to generate new data columns or perform dynamic calculations on visualizations is covered in this training session.
Distributing Analytics
Length: 1 day
Prerequisites: Spotfire Essentials I, Spotfire Essentials II
Description: This session shows you, the Business Author, how to take a TIBCO Spotfire file and include automation, navigation, and instructional aides to make subsequent analysis easier for you and for others who may build upon your analytical insights. This is especially useful when you intend to share your analysis to an audience using the TIBCO Spotfire Web Player. Information Links, Bookmarks, and Action links are just a few of the topics discussed in this session.
Web Player Analytics
Length: 1 day
Prerequisite: none
Description: This session is designed for users of the TIBCO Spotfire Web Player. The session will show users how to navigate through their analysis in a TIBCO Spotfire Web Player file, and how to interpret the variety of visualizations and settings which can be provided by the author of TIBCO Spotfire Web Player files.
