    Training in Today's Economy

    With today’s economy, training and travel budgets are shrinking. Spotfire’s training department has been working on creating economical training options to provide high quality content which still provides a high return on investment. Below are some new programs as well as some existing programs that should meet your learning needs as well as your budgets.

    New Virtual Training Approach
    Instructor-led Virtual training is a blended learning approach which provides you with the best of both synchronous and asynchronous learning. Lectures and demos are provided as self-paced eLearning modules, complete with an audio voice-over by one of our professional trainers. The content is supplemented by an Instructor-led session during the day. These live sessions occur virtually using live web and audio conferences, and are delivered via a web browser. Their purpose is to ensure you get maximum value out of the eLearning modules so that more advanced or detailed topics are delivered synchronously.     End-User Web-based Training
    Spotfire End-user Web-based Training provides customers with the ability to learn asynchronous to fit into their schedules, and also includes ALL the modules that are covered in our standard end user training classes. Enterprise wide pricing is also available for larger customers who wish to provide licenses of our Web-based training to all their users. The framework creates industry standard eLearning module which allows it to be installed directly in customers Learning Management Systems. Content can also be customized and include custom branding.     More Regional Training Locations
    Understanding that travel budgets may have been lowered or shrunk, we have researched other locations to host our regional training classes. We had a limited trial - schedule in 2008, and will be launching regional trainings in many new locations in 2009. If you are interested in having Spotfire deliver a training in your area, please send us an email spotfireregistrar@tibco.com.

    Licensing Training Materials
    Certain companies may want to handle the user training internally using their own resources. If this is going to happen, we want to make sure they are using sound, well-constructed materials. We will soon be ready to license our training materials to companies so they can use the courseware in their internal trainings. Companies can purchase individual classes, and they will receive the class slides (as a .ppt), the student manual (as a .doc), as well as all the demos and exercises used during training. In addition, their instructors will be able to take our train-the-trainer course(s) to learn all the tips and tricks as well as best practices for teaching the course(s) they purchased.

    Pre-training Assessments
    We want to make sure that all companies use their training budget wisely and on the most appropriate training courses to maximize their user adoption and ROI. Towards that end, we have created some new collateral and sales tools to help companies select the appropriate classes:
